Photo of the Week: Nepal’s Good Luck Charm

Let’s play a little word association: If we say, “Nepal,” you say “Everest”? We thought you might, but consider this: There’s more to Nepal than the big boss of mountains. Teva fan Savannah Cummins got to explore the region when she hiked to the top of Kala Patthar (18,192 feet above sea level).

“I had a bad sinus infection, which made it very difficult to breathe at that elevation. I also noticed how incredible the peak behind me was and how I would love to climb it one day,” she remembers. “After the picture a bird pooped on my head, and I was told it was good luck—within a few hours of going down I was feeling better!”
