Known for beaches, colorful buildings, fashion, Art Basel, and amazing food, there’s no shortage of things to do in Miami, Florida. Bloggers and besties Lisa Dengler and Madelynn Furlong journeyed to the Magic City for a weekend in the sun and took our hottest fall styles along for the ride. Here, the girls break down their Miami wardrobe staples.
Where they live: Los Angeles, California.
Lisa: The Olsen Twins because they’ve always just worn whatever they wanted to and what felt natural to them. Madelynn: I always go back to Alexa Chung. Her style is cool, eclectic, ’60s, and is the perfect amount of feminine.
Advice for navigating the Miami scene?
Lisa: Be prepared to stay out late, so don’t make any plans in the mornings. You’ll most definitely still be sleeping.
Madelynn: Don’t stress and enjoy the city! Miami has such a cool vibe, you don’t want to miss it.
What they wore: Arrowood Lux Mid WP.
When it comes to styling the Arrowood sneaker boots, Lisa and Madelynn keep it cool and channel their college years. Lisa’s tips for an easy, street ready look? Pair “band tees, plaid and navy for a comfy, casual, and cool look, like you don’t have a care in the world.” Location: Miami Beach, Mid Beach.
What they wore: De La Vina Lace.
Adding some tomboy flair, Lisa and Madelynn pair our De La Vina Lace boots with skirts for a subtle hint of girly-ness. “We like to mix warm tones with interesting textures in a mix and match way,” says Lisa. Location: Miami Beach, South Beach.
What they wore: Original Universal Patent Leather with socks.
Holidays always call for some sparkle. Dressing up our shiny patent leather Originals with equally shiny socks makes for an unexpected yet chic holiday look. Madelynn’s take on #SocksAndSandals is to pair “the Originals with glitter socks and a blouse + skirt combo. I kept everything monochromatic so that it felt chic but still simple.” Photos by Caylon Hackwith.
